Pekiti (to get in close) Tirsia (to quarter) means to close in with the purpose of quartering the opponent through multiple combinations of offensive attacks. In law enforcement context, this can translate as neutralizing a threat and staying ahead of the OODA loop. Pekiti Tirsia Kali is a highly effective close-quarter fighting art indigenous to the Visayan region of the Philippines.
Pekiti Tirsia Tactics was founded in January 2018 and is dedicated to the tactical training of police, corrections, military and security groups. As a sanctioned Canadian affiliate of Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association, Pekiti Tirsia Tactics guides practitioners on the traditional Pekiti Tirsia Kali methodology but focuses on the TriCom (Tri-Angle Combatives) curriculum.
Our pursuit of knowledge is guided by Tuhon Jared Wihongi, founder of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association.
TriCom (Tri-Angle Combatives) system of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association applies time-tested Pekiti Tirsia Kali to modern day, court-defensible defensive tactics for law enforcement officers, military and security groups.
