PEKITI-TIRSIA KALI

BRIEF HISTORY

Pekiti (to get in close) Tirsia (to quarter) means to close in with the purpose of quartering the opponent through multiple combinations of offensive attacks. In a law enforcement context, this can translate as neutralizing a threat and staying ahead of the OODA loop. Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a highly effective close-quarter fighting art indigenous to the Visayan region of the Philippines and has gained popularity as an effective defensive tactics system for law enforcement and military. This system is known as TriCom (Tri-Angle Combatives) which was developed by Tuhon Jared Wihongi - the founder of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association. TriCom has been in use by special forces groups spanning from the US, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Brazil, Germany and Canada.

Pekiti Tirsia Tactics was the first sanctioned affiliate in Canada under the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association (PTTA). Pekiti Tirsia Tactics is dedicated to the tactical training of police, military, security and government enforcement units. We currently provide training to multiple federal agencies with the Government of Canada.
